I noticed in our web app that the drop-down arrows were starting to disappear
from <select> fields. I tried to distill a test case, and apparently it has to
do with a mix of floating elements (in this case <label> and <select>) and
setting a width on the element before the <select> field.
In the test case, the first field's <option> should be short enough by 1
character that the arrow isn't visible. The second field has one additional
character in its <option>, and the arrow is visible.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Float a <label> and a <select>
2. Set a width on the <label>
3. Have a short <option> in the <select>
Actual Results:
If the width is just 'right', the arrow on the <select> isn't visible.
Expected Results:
The arrow on the <select> should be visible at all times.
If you increase or decrease your browser font size, that affects this issue as
well. I believe my font size is set to default (medium?).
