User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20030225 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20030225 I could find no way to have mozilla mail store an email that was encrypted during transport as plaintext. This should be possible, both when saving it to a file, and when moving or copying it to another folder. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. receive encrypted email 2. select save to file 3. Actual Results: file is useless trash rather than an email message. This also occurs when trying to move the email to another folder; it shows up there in a format that normal tools can't deal with. Expected Results: Have part of the save as dialog box be a query as to whether it should be saved as plaintext. For folders this becomes a bit more complicated. Either a preference for everything to be stored as plaintext in the folder, or a query box when you move things into it.

Don't know about 1.2.1 but in current versions you can save in File and then choose "Text Files" as File Type. It then saves the body in plaintext though not all header informations. So a poor mans version of this RFE is available, but decrypting should also available for mails in eml format a.s.o.
