User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040718
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040718

I recently switched to Comcast cable internet with Giganews for NNTP access,
which has a large amount of messages stored for all groups.

Certain groups will only download headers to a certain point and then stop.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Set up a Giganews NNTP account
2.Subscribe to alt.computer.security
3.Switch to another group
4.Switch back to alt.computer.security

Actual Results:
In step 2, it says that there are 13712 messages available.
It goes to about 8268 and then stops
In Step 4, it re-loads all of the message headers that it has previously loaded

Expected Results:
Load all 1372 message headers, and remember that they've been downloaded.

All other news readers that I've tried work fine. (XNews, Outlook Express,
NewsXpress)

The tail end of the Mozilla NNTP log in such a case always looks like:

Here is a zip of an Ethereal pcap of the conversation in question:
http://dormcam.org/mozilla_nntp.zip

The header for the last message that Mozilla displays is contained within packet
#3046
The QUIT that Mozilla sends is packet #3133

The logfile isn't sufficient to see what happens, and the pcap don't exist any more.
