Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040616 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040616 When openning a mail item with a file attachment, holding and dragging the file from the attachment pane to the desktop, Mozilla spits an error message dialog and locks up (all windows). The error message can't be acked ("OK"). A way to get out of the deadlock is to use Windows' dialog off the taskbar and kill the *other* open Mozilla windows (except the one with the mail item). This allows one to ack the error message and then recover. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a mail item with an attachment 2 [review]. Drag the attachment file line to the Windows desktop 3. Actual Results: Error message dialog which can't be acked. All Mozilla windows locked - no action possible. Expected Results: Not lock.
Dupe of bug 246051?
The description above is partial; apologies. Some more important info: 1. The file name is in Hebrew (aka non latin, i18n, bidi). 2. The error message says: "Unable to save the attachment. Please check your file name and try again later." (umm, try later??...) ...and yes - caught Mike's q in midair - it is a dupe. Sorry - my search was not good enough and didn't pick it up. Resolving. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 246051 ***
