Some weeks ago the statusbar panels were moved from the left to the right side of the browser window. All these panels are displayed all over the time. Instead we should hide them when they aren't needed. For example pages without newsfeeds doesn't need the livemark panel. Now only the icon isn't displayed and we have a grey ugly box there.
Summary: Unused statusbar panels should be hidden → Unused statusbar panels should be hidden
note bug 251821 comment 0: some of these items have some functionality even in the inactive state
OS: Windows 2000 → All

Flags: blocking-aviary1.0?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040829 Firefox/0.9.1+ There was probably another checkin for displaying this panels. Only the update icon and extensions are using the right side of the status bar and all other panels are the most left part of the status bar now with a current nigthly build. I mark this bug as WFM as long as there won't come a change again.
