When using Save Page As, it would be helpful if the saved page included a
comment at or near the top showing the original URL the page was saved from.
You could include a preference setting to turn this off for those who don't want
it, if that's an issue. I archive a lot of pages for posterity (I work with an
emerging computer museum), and the lack of this feature keeps me from using Mozilla.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Load any page
2.Invoke Save Page As from the File menu
3.Select directory, specify filename, and click Save.
Actual Results:
The page is saved beautifully, but if I view the source, there is no reference
to the original URL so I can't go back there.
Expected Results:
Include a comment at or near the top which specifies the original URL the page
was saved from (IE 5 and later (ack) does this).
