Whenever I begin to download a file via Firefox, the computer effectively
freezes up. I am unable to do anything until Download Manager has begun to
download the file. This is not a problem I've experienced with Netscape or
Internet Explorer.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right-click on the file link
2. Save the file
Actual Results:
Everything running on the computer would freeze until the download began, which
would take up to 1 minute.
Expected Results:
Begin downloading the file without freezing all other programs.
How large is your downloads.rdf file in your profile? Do you still have the
problem if you deleted the file (FF is closed)?
