popup blocking causes page to continually reload

I'm using "Firefox 0.9.1+
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040724
Firefox/0.9.1+"

When I browse to
http://www.parentsplace.com/expert/midwife/qas/0,,167008_110720,00.html, we
appear to continually reload, and I see the popup blocking bar hide and show.

this might be a duplicate of bug #252306

Another scenario possibly related is as follows:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7)
 Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
With pop-up blocking enabled and 3rd party cookies blocked for a given domain
poorly written pages that rely on the blocked domains for ad images cause
Firefox to present the internet connection wizard to popup.

This scenario occurred on a notoriously spammy site (mail.com) but cannot be
consistently replicated since the content on those pages changes frequently.
