User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 Hi, I am a big fan of Mozilla Mail/News, specifically because of the great search options to plow through old e-mails. I keep huge Inboxes over years, adding maybe 1-3 useful e-mails that I keep per day, because I never know if I would need some info from old e-mail again. I also run a virus protection software (Symantec Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition), which checks incoming mail, and which I like. Now, if the anti-virus software detects a virus and cannot clean it, it quarantines the entire Mozilla Mail/News Inbox into a safe location, where the virus cannot act. Since viruses cannot always be fixed, there are two ways out: 1) delete entire Inbox, or 2) restore Inbox and try to delete the virus otherwise. Mostly, I choose 2), then opening the Inbox using TextPad and deleting the virus manually. However, this does not always work. Sometimes it is not even possible to open the Inbox using TextPad. I suggest to have some form of pre-Inbox to make it possible that virus software can isolate the infected e-mail without affecting other e-mail. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get a recognized virus in a junk mail or its attachment. 2. Norton Antivirus quarantines entire Mozilla Mail/News Inbox. 3. If virus cannot be repaired or deleted through other software such as TextPad, the entire Inbox is lost. Actual Results: Mozilla Mail/News Inbox is lost. Expected Results: Add e-mail to Mozilla Mail/News Inbox only after checking through virus detection software.
