User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2 I started to download Fedora Core 2 DVD image. The file size is over 4 gigabytes. The Download manager thinks the file is just 73.9 MB. After 73.9 MB has been loaded the time remaining turn negative (which is not, I think, a bug, but a symptom) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start downloading file http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/2/i386/iso/FC2-i386-DVD.iso 2. Look at the reported filesize on download manager. For me it was 73.9 MB. 3. After the was 73.9 MB has been loaded the time turns negative. Actual Results: The size of the file being downloaded is reported wrong. The remaining time is reported wrong. Expected Results: The size and time should be reported correctly, or if unknown, not at all. I'm still waiting for the file to download. I'll report more tomorrow and then I'll attach some screen shots.

This is not a duplicate of bug 243974. That bug is about networking, this is about user interface. As you can see from the first attachment, the download has not been canceled after 73.9 MB. The three other attachments document the behaviour of the download manager during the download.

After 2 GB has been loaded, the amount loaded turns negative and the progress meter is empty again.

Download finished about 24 hours later. The file was downloaded, but sent to the bit bucket at some point during the process. From the dialogs, it looked like the file was deleted just after the download completed. I should have checked during the download. Where are the temp files during the download process?

I checked the file behaviour. The file was not deleted after 73.9 MB had been loaded. I loaded until about 500 MB had been saved and then canceled the download. At that point I had set up BitTorrent to get the image for me and needed the bandwidth for it.
