We should remove the save as text option for web pages. It isn't terribly useful and will likely just confuse users. This seems like perfect territory for extensions. We might even consider reducing it to one simple save option.
If we're going to remove this functionality, best to do it at PR and avoid any negative reaction at 1.0.

I vote for wontfix. I don't think Firefox's "Save as text" feature is confusing or "in the way". Until bug 230606 and bug 209234 are fixed, paranoid have to use "Save as text" to save "receipt" pages without giving those pages access to read everything on their HD.

Saving a page as text is not the default option and the user has to go out of their way to select the Text option in the File->Save As... dialog. I don't think this is a common trap for users.
