I would like to be able to right click on an event and change
the status to "completed". The display should not show the title of this
event crossed out.

imo invalid.

What you are trying to do is dated tasks, not events (by your description).

Your problem would be solved by a completely working "tasks in view" system
where your tasks show up in the calendar itself.

If you simply mean "Cross out events that have already elapsed" I will fix the
summary for you.

Does Callek's suggestion remedy the problem? If we don't hear back from you
within 5 days, we'll assume it does and mark the bug INVALID.
