Viewing this animated gif, Firefox 0.9.3 and Mozilla 1.7.2, on both windows
and Linux, take a 100 MB ram.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open firefox or mozilla
http://www.caida.org/analysis/security/code-red/newframes-small-log.gif
2. top or windoze task manager
3. take a look at mem column
Expected Results:
Konqueror and Internet Explorer take about 30 MB
I don't know if this is a bug or normal behaviour. Also I don't know
if this behaviour could be used for a DOS.

Using lots of memory is not a security hole. At worst, it's a client DoS, and
there are plenty of other ways to do that.
Group: security
Summary: firebox take 100MB ram with large animated gif → firefox take 100MB ram with large animated gif
