User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla v1.7.2 Linux After adding a config item using about:config, and then choosing to delete this item, it turns out this is to possible. No "delete" option is present in the properties pane. The "delete" key has no effect. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: xxx
it's not always possible to delete a pref (it is only possible if there is no default value). "Reset" does what you want, though; afaik. remaining issues are bug 193332, marking dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 193332 ***

In this case, the option has no default value. The steps were: - See that no general.useragent.override item exists. - Add a general.useragent.override item. - Use reset to try and delete it - in this case "reset" does not delete the item, it only sets it to blank, ie "send no user agent string at all".
ok. I think that's exactly what bug 193332 is about.
