Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
Usually, if you deactive popup blocking. It doesn't block any popup. I
recognized after about 20 (not always the same often) times opening the
same/similar(on the same homepage) popup, something inside the popupmanager
crashes. Then it blocks all popups. Even if you add the Homepage to the "Popup
allowed"-list, it blocks it. Restart helps as "workaround" for the problem. I
recognized this with Mozilla 1.7 and Firefox 0.9.3.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a popup link
2. Deactivate popup blocking
3. Click it until its not possible anymore. (about 20 times?)
Actual Results:
Popups get blocked
Expected Results:
Popups should be allowed.
I recognized this problem on the intranet server i have been working at.

This is purposeful; we never allow more than 20 popups open at once, even if the
popup blocker is off.

Whiteboard: INVALID?
Well, it shouldn't disallow the 20th popup if you've been closing the popups as
you go along. But the given steps to reproduce are very imprecise. In fact even
allowing some leeway I can't reproduce this bug with the instructions given. I'm
closing this bug, assuming it's another report of bug 247421. Note that the fix
for 247421 at time of writing exists only on the trunk, not in any release build.
Reporter, please try with a recent nightly build. If it's still a problem,
reopen and give precise steps including URLs or better yet, an attached,
simplified testcase.

Whiteboard: INVALID?
PS as Boris mentioned, when opening allowed popup windows, even a fixed trunk
build won't let you have more than about 20 of those open simultaneously. My
reading of this bug is that was not the problem being reported.

Nothing was checked in. From the comments this should either have been resolved
as WORKSFORME or INVALID.
->INVALID (since that was the last comment).

I have to reopen this bug. I used the nightly build i former downloaded for
about a month now. I work with popups at my company so i usually open about 50
of them a day and since a few days it doesn't open popups again. So it seems to
be a problem that only occurs with a browser used every day for a longer time.
(not easy reproduceable) But it constantly occurs. If you install a new Browser,
it won't have that problem (even if its a older version).
PS.: By the way, i want to append that those "~20" popups were not opened
directly after each other (usualy it was one a click).

OK but we have a better bug to cover this issue.
