User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 I've noticed that once in a while, guessing 3 out of 10 times, some of the text on the slashdot main page overlaps. The overlap, I believe, occurs between 2 table elements. Since it may be difficult to reproduce, I've captured a screenshot and posted it on my home page, along with the saved page. The saved source is exactly what was captured in the image; however - strangely - when I opened the *saved* version of the page in Firefox, it looked ok. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. navigate to slashdot.org 2. view the main page 3. sometimes, there is overlap between the 2 left most columns Actual Results: sometimes, there is overlap between the 2 left most columns Expected Results: not rendered the overlap Sometimes, the condition can be cleared by hitting refresh (although the contents sometimes change when I do that). Other activities that result in a redraw of the page may clear the condition.

oops - forgot my home url: http://home.earthlink.net/~daves73/slashdot/ I'll also try to see if I can attach the image to this defect entry.

This is the saved page when the overlap occurred. Note: when I loaded the saved page, it rendered fine.
