User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 When switching between open items using 'Alt+Tab' you sometimes 'get stuck' in the 'Mozilla Help' window if this is open. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a couple of items. In my case: MSN Messenger, Windows XP Help and Support center, Enter A Bug - Mozilla, The Inbox in Mozilla and Mozilla Help. 2. Use 'Alt+Tab' to move between these items. 3. Moving between the Windows Help/Messenger and Mozilla help is no problem. 4. Moving between Mozilla mail and 'Enter a bug, no problem 5. Moving to 'Mozilla Help' from 'Mozilla mail' or 'Enter a bug', no problem 6. Moving from 'Mozilla Help' to the other Mozilla applications does not work. 7. Moving from 'Windows Help' to 'Mozilla mail'/'Enter a bug' if your previous Mozilla windows was the 'Mozilla help' The same thing applies when you try to switch using the buttons on the taskbar. Actual Results: When trying to 'Alt+Tab' from 'Mozilla Help' to other Mozilla applications the frame of the 'Mozilla Help' window turns from blue (active) to gray (not active) but you are stuck in the 'Help' window. The other window does not pop up.
I think the problem is more like Mozilla Help always stays on top. If you minimize the Help window, then Alt+Tab, it will open. So Alt+Tab works. I also find Help's obsession with being on top quite annoying. Is this bug invalid? Or should it be morphed to a request to make Help not always be on top? Please check for dupes.
Thanks for your quick feedback! An option where you can choose whether 'Help' should be always on top or not, would be great! The rapid switching between windows with Alt+Tab, without needing to minimize et c, I think always should be a possibility. Cheers, Henrik
Why is Help always staying on top? That's utterly uncalled-for!
