User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040207 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Although no offline usage was ticked, Mozilla and Mozilla Thunderbird latest will all happily start download all message bodies after the message headers are done. This is a waste of bandwidth and if I wanted to download the bodies of all the mails, I would have chosen pop instead of imap. This behaviour started after the Junk Mail feature was added to Mozilla/Mozilla Thunderbird. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Setup a new imap account 2. Login 3. Watch mozilla/mozilla thunderbird download all headers and then watch it start download all the bodies one by one. Actual Results: Mozilla/Mozilla Thunderbird started downloading all the message bodies one by one. Expected Results: It should have just downloaded the headers and stop. It should only download the body when I click on the mail.

1) IMAP allows you the option to download headers only. 2) Server-side junkmail filtering still exists. 3) No option to turn off junk mail controls introduces wasted cpu cycles and bandwidth where someone has 2) and wants 1)

let me word that better. An option to turn on/off adaptive filtering per account would be nice.

I have found out that you can turn on/off adaptive filtering per account. Thanks
