At the page www.slashdot.org, the left-bar will occasionally blend with the
center bar (main story bar), and text will be garbled together. This can be
remedied by resizing the text (ctrl+, ctrl-), but it seems like a cheap fix. It
seems to occur at random.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to slashdot.org
2.If left-column text is not garbled with center column, click on the slashdot
logo to refresh. (repeat as necessary)
3.
Actual Results:
The text columns were rendered together, garbling the text
Expected Results:
The columns should be discrete and not interfere with each other's space.

This happens only when there is no advertisement at the top of the page. This
doesn't look like a bug with Firefox but this should be a tech evangelism bug.

This is a known bug. Should be fixed in the 1.8a branch. See bug 217527.
