Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install yahoo search at mozdev.org 2. set default to yahoo 3. restart firefox 4. its set back to google Actual Results: went back to google Expected Results: stayed at yahoo
if you go into about:config and manually set it to yahoo in browser.search.selectEngine, it works, but you have to go in there to do it.

The default search engine is stuck on Yahoo, and I cannot change it or remove it. If I remove it under "Manage search engines" it comes right back. If I try to modify it under about:config browser.search.defaultenginename: it always reverts to Yahoo no matter what I do. Please help!
