User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a4) Gecko/20040908 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a4) Gecko/20040908 On launching nightlies for Moz 1.8a4, Mozilla loads as far as showing the menus but crashes before a browser window opens. I have logged three Trackback crashes each for the Mac nightlies of 10-Sep and 11-Sep. Also see report on Mozillazine for probable Windows dup: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=125692 The nightly for 2004090808 seems to be fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch 2. 3. Actual Results: Crash Expected Results: Opened browser window. Deleted history and XUL file as well as cache and other recently changed elements of profile. No help. This nightly works fine with profile.
>I have logged three Trackback crashes each for the Mac nightlies of 10-Sep and 11-Sep. OK, can you provide the Talkback ID? This is found in the components/talkback folder. Run the executable and provide the ID you reported.
Typo in my earlier report. Didn't test the 10-Sep nightly. The crashes were with the 13-Sep nightly (TB800749M, TB800756Z, and TB800775Z) and the 11-Sep nightly (TB800872M, TB800856X, TB800843Q). Thanks! p.
I am seeing the same thing on win32 (winXP Pro SP2). 20040910 win32 nightly works; 20040911 (and later) win32 nightlies crashes on start up, even before talkback can launch. The Windows error report dialog says that the fault is here: AppName: mozilla.exe AppVer: 1.8.20040.25681 ModName: gklayout.dll ModVer: 1.8.20040.25681 Offset: 00107526
