Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040914 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040914 Firefox/0.10 On Linux, when my home directory is specified as the default download directory, the preferences box still says that the default directory is Desktop. I'm running fvwm; I don't even have a desktop on which things can be saved. This is misleading and should not say Desktop. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.In download preferences, select "Other" from the drop down box for default directory, and change it to your home directory. 2.Note that it gives a pathname. 3.Click OK. 4.Go back to download preferences, and note that now it says the default folder is "Desktop". 5.Download something and note that it is saved in your home directory, which is probably not the same as your Desktop (if you have a desktop at all). Actual Results: The preferences box says "Desktop" is the default download directory. Expected Results: The preferences box should say "/home/<username>" is the default download directory. This is the same underlying problem as bug 241245; that bug, however, seems to have been ignored, and doesn't really get at the fundamental problem directly.
