User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 Build Identifier: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.10/firefox-1.0PR-i686-linux-gtk2+xft-installer.tar.gz Attempted to use the installer on a Redhat 7.3 system ("uname" -a returns Linux solling.thcg.net 2.4.20-28.7bigmem #1 SMP Thu Dec 18 11:04:21 EST 2003 i686 unknown Installer will not start because it cannot find libstd++.so.5 -- the system requirements don't list this need. At a miminum this requirement should be listed to save us (and your server) some downloads. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.in firefox-installer directory type ./firefox-installer 2. 3. Actual Results: nothing Expected Results: installed firefox 1.0 release candidate
Moving to documentation -> system requirements. Zip builds won't run without libstdc++5 either. I've fixed http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/system-requirements.html with doctor.
