User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10
If I create a local html page with some types of embedded animated GIFs, the
image draws OK, but uses a cached version of the image each time I open the
page. Manually pressing Refresh makes the image update.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create html page which includes:
<a
href="http://radblast.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/radar/WUNIDS?station=MPX&brand=wui&num=6&delay=15&type=N0R">
<img width=160 height=120
src="http://radblast.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/radar/WUNIDS?station=MPX&brand=wui&num=6&delay=15&type=N0R">
</a>
2. open page, observe image / time on image
3. Close Firefox.
4. wait 15 minutes
5. open page again.
Actual Results:
Image will not be current. Image will be pulled from browser cache.
Expected Results:
Image should be current whenever page is opened (as it is in IE and as it is in
Firefox for all other types of GIF and JPG images).
I have tried adding the following to the HTML page header with no effect:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="expires" CONTENT="Wed, 03 Nov 1999 12:21:14 GMT">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" Content="no-cache">
