User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 0.8 (20040913) Once an RSS feed has been added to Thunderbird, it allows for changing the subscription type between article summary and web page. This is in: - Right-click RSS account - Manage RSS subscriptions - Select Subscription - Click Edit button There it allows to check/uncheck the «Show the article summary instead of loading the web page» option. However, this change never takes effect, nor after restarting Thunderbird. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right-click RSS account 2. Choose Manage RSS subscriptions 3. Select Subscription 4. Click Edit button 5. Change check box «Show the article summary instead of loading the web page» 6. Hit OK and close RSS subscription window. Actual Results: Subscription type is not changed; not even after restarting Thunderbird. Expected Results: Subscription type should have been changed.
(In reply to comment #0) > Actual Results: > Subscription type is not changed; not even after restarting Thunderbird. > > Expected Results: > Subscription type should have been changed. What do you mean by "type is not changed"? a) The preference setting is back to the old type. b) Old RSS messages are displayed with the old type. c) New RSS messages are displayed with the old type. b) is the intended behaviour, i.e. changing the type setting affects only new messages, not the ones downloaded already.
Thank you. I was under the impression that the old messages would also be reloaded and replaced. I'll close this ticket.
