User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040919 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040919 Firefox/0.10 I got my firefox 1.0 preview release from gentoo and built it. However, i found that the Home/End/Left/Right/Up/Down key does not work in the text box of a webpage and the navigation toolbar. The backspace and space work fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Severity: normal → critical
I am experiencing this problem as well. I have also placed 'gtk-key-theme-name = "Emacs"' in my .gtkrc-2.0 file. Strace output shows that the correct key themes are being read and parsed, yet the keys do not work. It's worth noting that control-left-arrow, control-right-arrow, shitft-home, and shift-end work as expected. But without modifier keys such as shift and control, the arrow keys, and home and end do not work either in the URL bar or in text areas such as the one I'm typing this in. This bug makes the browser close to unusable. Firefox 0.9.3 did not have this problem.
Definitely confirmed on Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040918 Firefox/0.10.
