When submitting my last bug, I noticed that the cursor was VERY difficult to control, especially when using the cursor keys on the keyboard to move backward through text that I've already typed. This is very annoying at best and causes real problems in an environment where quick text entry is essential to the task at hand.
Reassigning to Steve.

selection and navigation bugs go to mike. cc joe just in case he knows something. I don't see this on windows, but I have a fast machine, maybe that matters? Scott S: what is your hardward and software configuration? Which build of mozilla are you using? Thanks!

Summary: Cursor control in input and textarea fields is VERY slow → [PREF] Caret control in input and textarea fields is VERY slow
It's a slower machine, but it really isn't running anything other than Linux and X11. I think it's an old P133 w/ 64MB RAM. Could be a P100. However, it's the same config that I have on my NT machine and I don't have any problems with Mozilla on the NT. (Yes, the company doesn't give the consultants the best equipment in the world!) I'm using M13 on both machines.

I've seen the same behavior on my 200 Mhz Pentium, running RedHat Linux 6.1. I'm running the M13 full circle build.

I'm gonna wait for today's linux build and retest this, becuase this is dog slow on the Linux 2000-07-14-21-M17 Commercial build. Works fine on Mac & Windows of the same day.
Goodness golly gosh this is so amazingly fixed.
