I see the download link fine, but on the download page, when the javascript to start the download runs, Internet Explorer on SP2 (with the "Default" security settings) stops the download and gives the following warning (screenshot attached): "To help project your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options..." When you click, you can choose to download, or you can click in the page where it says "If nothing happens, try this link." The only way I see around this is not using a downloading landing page with javascript that starts the download (why do we do that anyhow?).

The attachement above demonstrates the problem with the missing link. not quite the same as the one reported by Steven
Are there any Javascript errors?

Yury Puzis, which version of Opera is that? Steven, could you please file a separate bug?
Do you have a firewall that filters out script (but doesn't take the noscript stuff out of noscript)?

David: I don't think so. The firewal is "norton internet securuty 2004"
There have been numerous reports in the forums that Norton Internet Security's bukt-in ad blocking is filtering out that link. Maybe other products too?

Is this still a problem? (I was wondering since there isn't a single duplicate and I have never heard about it again/before.)

I'm quite sure this has been fixed by a variety of changes to the javascript that Ben, dbaron, and I have done in the last month. However, we still need to apply similar changes to the Thunderbird download javascript.

I believe the Thunderbird download script was recently updated as well. Can we resolve it WORKSFORME?

Yeah, we're pretty sure this had to do with externally including the javascript files, which we're no longer doing for either firefox or thunderbird. Marking as FIXED.
