User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US) AppleWebKit/85 (KHTML, like Gecko) OmniWeb/v558.48
Build Identifier: version 0.8 (20040913)

Thunderbird reports the feed as invalid; accessing the exact same content through HTTP instead of
HTTPS works: http://improbable.org/chris/rss.php

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Attempt to subscribe to https://improbable.qwknetllc.com/chris/rss.php
Actual Results:
Thunderbird will report that it is not a valid RSS feed

Expected Results:
Load it just like Firefox handles the same HTTPS URL.
This is caused by the issue raised in bug 254231
Depends on: 254231
I confirm this bug on release 0.9 on Windows. You can try with rss feed from
mozilla:

https://update.mozilla.org/rss/?application=firefox&type=E&list=newest

Error reported: ... is invalid rss feed.
If I rename https into http it works! so it seamns that it doesnt support HTTPS.

Please modify the OS into ALL.
Updating Hardware -> All and OS -> All based on previous comment.
OS: MacOS X → All
Hardware: Macintosh → All
confirming on mac 20041117-0.9.
