Details |
When feeds contain UTF-8 characters, but Mozilla receives the home page as
iso-8859-1, a page comes up garbled. We either need to encode the problematic
entities or explicitly declare UTF-8 as the home page's charset.

arguably; however, this seems like it'd be an easier / more important fix than the site-wide nature
of bug 154570.
