Collapsing subfolders of one folder of bookmarks can pop open
an unrelated folder of bookmarks.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create several bookmark folders, including one ("A") that has two
subfolders ("A.1" and "A.2").
2. Close all bookmark folders.
3. Open A, then A.1, then A.2.
4. Collapse A.1, then A.2.
Actual Results:
When A.2 collapses, another folder above A opens by itself
(not always the same folder above A).
Expected Results:
Nothing -- no folder should automatically open just
because some other folder is closed.
Using Modern theme.

With the right use of the marking color and the scrollbar I confirm for Windows
98
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041026 Firefox/1.0RC1
and Linux
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041030 Firefox/1.0RC2
My way to reproduce (see screenshots http://www.hallofreun.de/temp/sidebar.png
):
Default theme, safe mode.
1. Folder "Links" is marked. Expand the folder "Bali" (img 1). The scrollbar
appears.
2. Scroll 5 lines with the scrollbar (img 2).
3. Collapse the folder "Bali" (img 3).
The sidebar will no longer start with line 6, because there is (should be)
enough space.
The scrollbar would disappear, if not ... folder "Internet" expands (img 4).
Being on the same line where "Bali" was before "Internet" is moved under the
mouse pointer.
If I move 6 lines in step 2 instead of 5 lines, folder "lokal" would open in
step 3.
But if I move just one line, the error is not triggered. "Anleitungen" would
not open.
This bug is similar to Bug 237259 , where one click also causes two actions.
There the other action is applied to a marked item, here it is applied to the
item under the mouse pointer.

Mentioned sightings were on Mozilla 1.7 and Fx 1.0RC1/RC2, all of which are dead and buried by now.
If you want to REOPEN, mention on which current build you see the bug, and provide clear steps to reproduce.
