I load the slashdot home page. About 30-40% of the time, the column of text on
the left side of the page renders on top of the middle column. Reloading the
page gives me a properly rendered page. So with the same code, the first time
the page loads, it renders improperly, but the second time it lots, it renders
properly.

This is independent of window size.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new browser (seems to happen more on new browser windows - or when the
page has not been loaded for several minutes.)
2. Go to http://slashdot.org/
3. Look at left side of page.
4. If the page is properly laid out, wait a few minutes and repeat 1-3.

This page seems to render improperly no matter how many times it is loaded:

Actual Results:
The text on the left side of the page sometimes overlays the text in the middle
of the page, and sometimes renders properly.

Expected Results:
Render the page without overlapping text.
