After selecting an item the selection doesn't appear in the <select> box in the
form, but does appear at the bottom of the drop down list instead. I'll apply a
test case soon.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a <p> and apply a :first-letter style to it
2. inside the <p> create a <select> with some options
3. select one of the options

Actual Results:  
the selection didn't appear in the box but instead appeared at the bottom of the
drop down list

Reproducible in application/xhtml+xml. Still happen when "p" is replaced with "div".

This is really odd...  The frames look the same in both cases (according to
-layoutdebug)..... so why's this breaking?

You need to select the <select> element once before the bug appears.
