Testing with the "progress window" style behavior we've had with the Download
Manager for some time shows that a lot of people are missing the fact that the
download manager opened and then closed, and lose their downloads. Placing them
on the Desktop helps, but we should also try leaving the window open. The stay
open/autoclose split was a compromise for progress-window supporters and we may
be able to make the change effectively now people are used to the new manager.

looks like it has been fixed on the branch, so could somebody please add the
fixed-aviary1.0 keyword?
(i know this is trivial but it would be useful for querying the overall number
of remaining bugs)
