User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10

Every time I try to update Firefox with "Firefox Update" it gets all
informations about all availble updates but when I click "Install Now" the
dialog changes but no updates are downloaded (even when I left it like this for
2 to 3 hours).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click the "Critical Update"/"Update" Icon
2. Select updates
3. Press "Install Now"

Actual Results:
It says "Firefox is downloading and installing the updates" but no updates are
downloaded or installed.

Expected Results:
It should have downloaded the selected updates and installed them.
Same for me.

The dialog says "Firefox is downloading and installing the updates..." for hours
and nothing happens.

OS : windows server 2003
logged in as non-admin.
Same on FF 0.10 / Win2000, this time as a member of Administrators group.

It is spinning .... and nothing happens.

Also the red update icon did not appear. I have "Periodically check for updates"
turned on.

Reminds me why I never use automatic updates ...

I found the reason of the problem.

You have to activate "Allow Websites to install software" in order to be able to
download the updates over the automatic updater.

This is not acceptable.

It should either print "Sorry, you turned updates off" (but why does it then
offer the update icon in the menu bar in the first place ???) or (check this!)
it should work.

In no case should the dialog hang.
