When you type something in a box and auto complete attempts to auto-complete it,
the box that appears will not go away unless you click on it. This becomes very
annoying becasue you do not always want to use auto-complete. sometimes you
might want to just continue typing, even if auto-complete is suggesting the word
you are typing, because it is quicker. Because of this it means if auto-complete
pops up you HAVE to go for your mouse to make it dissapear. It should dissapear
if you complete the word it suggests but it doesn't.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Type something in a box that you know will be auto-completed
2.Type the enitre word without using auto complete
Actual Results:  
I am forced to use the mouse to get rid of the box

Expected Results:  
The box should have dissapeared.

This sounds like you mean that you don't want exactly matching entries to appear
with autocomplete (so no autocomplete when the matching entry is the word you
typed).
This behavior changed with bug 217640.

If this is what you mean, then I can mark this bug as a duplicate of bug 262206.
For what it's worth, I agree with you.
