The latest nightly build (2000020308) on linux refuses to start when it has been quit and I try it to start again. When I try to debug it, it writes: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x4043fc23 in NSGetModule ()
Here is the stack trace, and I added a crash keyword. #0 0x4043fc23 in NSGetModule () #1 0x4043fd18 in NSGetModule () #2 0x4043fc6c in NSGetModule () #3 0x4043fc84 in NSGetModule () #4 0x4043fc84 in NSGetModule () #5 0x4043fc84 in NSGetModule () #6 0x4043f67e in NSGetModule () #7 0x4043f325 in NSGetModule () #8 0x4043eb8f in NSGetModule () #9 0x4043e8f3 in NSGetModule () #10 0x400f5c79 in nsGenericFactory::CreateInstance () #11 0x400f405e in nsComponentManagerImpl::CreateInstance () #12 0x400f9238 in nsComponentManager::CreateInstance () #13 0x400f9b79 in nsServiceManagerImpl::GetService () #14 0x400f9f51 in nsServiceManagerImpl::GetService () #15 0x400fa1c8 in nsServiceManager::GetService () #16 0x407f0997 in NSGetModule () #17 0x4081db95 in NSGetModule () #18 0x4081c162 in NSGetModule () #19 0x4081ce67 in NSGetModule () #20 0x40461462 in NSGetModule () #21 0x40470ccc in NSGetModule () #22 0x40476ec1 in NSGetModule () #23 0x40451ad0 in NSGetModule () #24 0x40451560 in NSGetModule () #25 0x400fb303 in PL_HandleEvent () #26 0x400fb293 in PL_ProcessPendingEvents () #27 0x400fbe3a in nsEventQueueImpl::ProcessPendingEvents () #28 0x404cbccf in nsAppShell::SetDispatchListener () #29 0x404cba9d in keysym2ucs () #30 0x4066952a in g_io_unix_dispatch () #31 0x4066abe6 in g_main_dispatch () #32 0x4066b1a1 in g_main_iterate () #33 0x4066b341 in g_main_run () #34 0x40590859 in gtk_main () #35 0x404cc18a in nsAppShell::Run () #36 0x4040ba42 in nsAppShellService::Run () #37 0x804a395 in JS_PushArguments () #38 0x804a704 in JS_PushArguments () #39 0x4021acb3 in __libc_start_main (main=0x804a528 <JS_PushArguments+4840>, argc=1, argv=0xbffffbd4, init=0x8048fd0 <_init>, fini=0x804bab0 <_fini>, rtld_fini=0x4000a350 <_dl_fini>, stack_end=0xbffffbcc) at ../sysdeps/generic/libc-start.c:78 It crashes immediately after this was written on stdout: nsCollationUnix::Initialize mLocale = LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ;LC_NUMERIC=cs_CZ;LC_TIME=cs_CZ;LC_COLLATE=cs_CZ;L nsCollationUnix::Initialize mCharset = ISO-8859-1 nsCollationUnix::Initialize mLocale = LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ;LC_NUMERIC=cs_CZ;LC_TIME=cs_CZ;LC_COLLATE=cs_CZ;L nsCollationUnix::Initialize mCharset = ISO-8859-1 Maybe it's related to bug 26252.

from the stack trace. it does not look like a dup of 26252. I though this is related to my check in for nsUCvTwModule.cpp, however I didn't check in untill 2/7 but this bug is file in 2/4, which before my check in. It looks like the mLocale set to a strange value. It seems the string is more than 65 bytes, the "kPlatformLocaleLength+1" . Probably a bug inside GetPlatformLocale in nsPosixLocale.cpp Should 130 res = posixLocale->GetPlatformLocale(&aLocale, platformLocale, kPlatformLocaleLength+1); be 130 res = posixLocale->GetPlatformLocale(&aLocale, platformLocale, kPlatformLocaleLength); ???? reassign to nhotta. t8m can you copy and paste your setenv output into this bug report ?

I have another crash that is in NSGetModule with the build 2000020918. However it doesn't happen immediately after the startup. It crashes after there are opened at least two windows and I switch between them. And sometimes it doesn't happen at all. I will investigate nsPosixLocale.cpp.

After I spend time to investigate, it turned out this is a dup of 26252. That bug is already fixed. After I updated to cata's change, it started to work on my Linux machine. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 26252 ***
