I think it would be nice to have an option that allows new files launched from
the shell or various programs to open in a new tab, rather than in a new window.
 For example, say I already have Firefox open to a couple web pages.  I get an
email, in which I click a link.  As it stands, this opens a new Firefox window
to execute the link.  Since one of the foremost reasons I use Firefox is for
tabbed browsing, I would much prefer to have my programs open links into new
tabs whenever Mozilla is already running.  I'm not sure how complicated this
would be to implement, but it seems the only real issue is checking whether a
Mozilla process is already active, and then choosing new tab or new window
accordingly.
