Commercial builds will take users to Netcenter's ureg server for the initial 
registration process. Bug 24681 has more details. For the beta, the url that 
Netcenter has provided us is 

http://ureg-beta.netscape.com/activation/en/activation.cgi

The above url on loading should get redirected to 

http://ureg.netscape.com/iiop/UReg2/reg/register?U2_ENDURL=http://ureg-beta.nets
cape.com:80/activation/en/activation.cgi?action=end&U2_EXITURL=http://ureg-beta.
netscape.com:80/activation/en/end.html?result=cancel&U2_SOURCE=ACTIVATION&U2_LA=
en&U2_CS=ISO-8859-1

Redirect happens fine in 4.x browser.

Using the mozilla the url remains the same instead of the url bar field getting 
filled with the redirected url and a blank window shows up.

So, I'm thinking that we have not yet implemented the url redirect. This feature  
is needed as early as possible to test the activatiuon service (a beta1 
feature). I am making 24681 dependent on this bug.

NOTE : If I supply the browser with the long redirected url (mentioned above) in 
the url bar, I see the page getting loaded fine.

Marked 24681 as a dup as I see no code change required than having this feature 
in place to solve the problem.

With M13 windows build (W95) it seems to work fine, redirection happens, the url 
is displayed correctly in the url bar. However there are known problems with 
updating the urlbar when redirection happens (bug 10647 or bug 20072)

OK...this works fine with the latest builds that I can successfully install
from sweetlou on both Windows and Linux. My mac machine is having some 
problems. Please check on mac and close the bug.
