User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 One of the things I hate the most is to find a page that only opens in IE. Some because of bugs, others because of plugins etc... Since Firefox is very extensible I think that instead of like some plugins that offers the option to open a page in IE, Firefox should have a option to replace in one tab the mozilla control by the mshtml control. This way we would never need to open IE and we could bookmark, block popups, etc... into firefox. Additionaly this could be very useful to Evangilization projects. If there was a option (like the popups allow) to mark a page to open in IE-mode, firefox could upload that to an envagilization project so they can take care of it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
there is an extension for it, don't know the name though.

Like I said, I do not wish this extension. I used it already. My suggestion is to open the page within firefox, in a tab, but instead of rendering with mozilla, to render with the IE control. This way that would look just like we never left firefox.

That's the funiest thing I've ever read here. Reporter: do you know what "bad support to standards" and "take back the web" mean? It really doesn't mean "keep it the way it is now"... What you are asking is to replace an existing dictature using an apparent democracy who would delegate its work to the underlying same dictature. Think about it...
A capital idea. Why not just save ourselves the compatibility hassles and implement ActiveX? ->invalid
