this problem is a (cosmetical) problem.
i found this problem when using the search, with the "find as u type" feature
enabled.

when a word or text is highlighted because it matches per example, the word you
were looking for, it will highlight green.
when pressing ctrl+a (key combination on the keyboard) everything will turn
green instead of blue.

this will occur on every page.
it's not website specific.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. search text on a page (it has to find something on the page so pick a word
that is on that page so it will highlight green).
Also besure to use the "Find As U Type" feature because i used it when i found
this odd "bug".
2. if the word is highlighted green press control+a (on ur keyboard)
3. tadaaa everything will become green.

pretty strange !
or not ?

Actual Results:
oh it isnt desturbing me in any way but i dont think this was supposed to happen
so i thought i should report it.

a minor thing to fix.

Expected Results:
my thoughts were, everything on the page that was selected were supposed to turn
blue, not green.
even if i am searching and 1 word is highlighted green, it should turn blue
because i was selecting everything.

i am using find as u type, it's much faster to search with that option enabled
in firefox.
i havent tried it "the normal way" to search, i mean, without finding as u type.

practical system information:

Asus P4c800 E-deluxe
intel p4 3.0c gigahertz (prescott core)
786 mb ddr

im using Windows XP Professional without sp2 (i dont like sp2) and im using the
Firefox version 1.0 Preview Release.

Summary: when searching on a webpage, the letter or text u have entered will become highlighted in green. when u press ctrl+a everything will turn green. → Select All highlights text with wrong color (green) when using Find Toolbar
Similar but not identical way to reproduce:

1) Go to a page with frames. I discovered it on the <a
href="http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/">Java API</a> site.

2) Select some text in a frame (on the Java site, in the main content frame), so
it highlights blue in Windows XP by default.

3) Press Ctrl+F to open up the find bar.

4) Type some text in a different frame than the one with selected text in it
(i.e. the menu on the side of the Java page). The found keyword will turn
green, as will the selected text. About 5 seconde later, the selection will
turn blue again as it should.
Confirming on:
