Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

When I open a link from a web page in a tab or a new window, the location bar is
empty until the page starts loading. This is annoying, because when the server
of the page which is loading isn't responding, I can't see which url the browser
was loading.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a web page (i.e. http://www.yahoo.com/).
2. Right-clik a link (i.e. 'Mail' on the top of the Yahoo.com frontpage) and
select 'Open Link in New Window' or 'Open Link in New Tab'.
Actual Results:
You'll see that the location bar is empty until the page starts loading.

Expected Results:
Directly display the url in the location bar.
This is a duplicate of bug 231393, see also bug 254714.

(You're right that it's annoying.)

I'm sorry, couldn't find it. (The Bugzilla search function doesn't like me!)
