Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; es-ES; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040616 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; es-ES; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040616 After saving to disk MANY images and MANY HTML pages (HTML only), everytime I save one more, the download manager window keeps open. Besides, it's completely empty, and the 'Clean' button is disabled (well, sometimes it's enabled too...). It doesn't prevent me from saving things to disk, but it's annoying. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save many images and HTML pages (HTML only) to disk... 2. ...using the 'Save as' and 'Save image as' options. Actual Results: As explained above Expected Results: Close the download manager windows by itself Windows XP Home Firefox 1.0 (language: es_ES) Installed from an executable file made by: http://nave.escomposlinx.org The page I was saving things from was: http://observatorio.info

Works for me. What it's your setting in Tools - Options - Downloads: Download Manager? Do you have the option "(x) Close the D. M. window when ..." checked?

(In reply to comment #1) > Works for me. What it's your setting in Tools - Options - Downloads: Download > Manager? Do you have the option "(x) Close the D. M. window when ..." checked? I think I have it checked, but I'll have a look anyway. What's more, during the first 100-150 downloads, it works OK. It failed after that.

I've noticed the same problem on a few occasions when I've downloaded many images and my settings are for the manager to close automatically (it works fine 99% of the time). Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
it happens ALL the time under fedora core 3 with firefox 1.0 (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0). the weird thing is that after downloading an image, or a small file the download manager stays open, AND if you download another file then it will close, only to do the same the next download. it might be that the files are so small that it doesn't give time to firefox to set the bit telling it that the download is over or something.

The description posted by Uri fits very well with the problems I've been having. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
