If I using CTRL-F and CTRL-G it does not work. The Tool bar is comming up bud
only the Highlight works. There is no jumping to the next match with CTRL-G

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Expected Results:
Mark the first match and jump to the next with CTRL-G

I'm using gtk 2.4.13
I can confirm this behaviour with blastwave's build of Firefox 1.0. This is a
major regression. Steps to reproduce are:

1. type '/' and then some search term. It will be highlighted correctly
2. type control-G. This brings up the find toolbar with a string "undefined",
   and then does precisely nothing.

The JS console says:

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Cannot modify properties of a
WrappedNative"  nsresult: "0x80570034 (NS_ERROR_XPC_CANT_MODIFY_PROP_ON_WN)"
location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/findBar.js :: toggleLinkFocus ::
line 400"  data: no]

A bugzilla search shows that this is a new case for the find toolbar. Manuel,
please check Tools->Javascript Console.

For related issue, see bug 251543. However, that bug is supposed to be fixed,
and has a very different JS console error.

Thus, marking this as NEW.

Summary: CTRL-G does not work. Nothing happen → "Find next" (control-G) does nothing on firefox 1.0 Solaris
Version: unspecified → 1.0 Branch
I get the error:

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Cannot modify properties of a
WrappedNative"  nsresult: "0x80570034 (NS_ERROR_XPC_CANT_MODIFY_PROP_ON_WN)"
location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/findBar.js :: toggleLinkFocus ::
line 400"  data: no]

I compiled firefox 1.0 with gtk 2.4.14 and with this gtk version it works. I did
a test with an older version of gtk 2.4.3 and it was working as well.

Was the broken version the blastwave build?

I've just checked with the ftp.mozilla.org build from Sun, and it appears to
work OK.

If you only see the problem with the Blastwave firefox, please close this bug
as INVALID (and ideally, contact Blastwave about this problem).

Can you also check to see if the gtk2 build in ftp.mozilla.org works OK?
Summary: "Find next" (control-G) does nothing on firefox 1.0 Solaris → "Find next" (control-G) does nothing on firefox 1.0 Solaris (blastwave)
No this has nothing todo with Blastwave it was build by my self.
I will close the bug because it works with the newer version of
gtk2.
