systems hangs (badly): reset or power off is the only solution

Expected Results:
:)

I'm using Noia 2.0 (eXtreme). Original theme makes no diference. Any other page
I tested works fine! This same url works fine with IE6 (seems not to be a
website problem)
Works for me: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3)
Gecko/20040910 Win XP Pro SP2
wfm with a one day old nightly on win2k.

Mozilla (that includes Firefox) can't hang win2k, NT, XP because it's a
user-space applikation and only kernel space applications can do that. You
should be always able to kill it with the taskamager.

If win2k hangs, there must be something wrong with one of your drivers (graphic,
sound..) and it also doesn't matter if only Mozilla cause such a hang.

I appreciate your rapid answer and your evaluation, but... just with
Mozilla and this particular website???

Everything can happen under Microsoft products, but I'd need other
advice, just because I like the product (Mozilla) and I don’t want to
keep IE6 just to browse this newspaper website (may be a crazy advice,
why not?, many of them are usefull :) ).

Any suggestions, please?

wfm Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-DE; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0

I´ve been looking around at the website, without flash installed, no problems.
After some time, I clicked the Firefox banner offering me to install a missing
plugin, and after installation had finished, I saw some flash ads, no problems.

Your problem may come from one of your installed extensions, like flashblocker,
adblocker, TBE and Multizilla.

Is your system hanging immediately, or do you see the page, partly rendered or
full? Can you abort Firefox via the Windows Taskmanager, or is it really
neccessary to reset the computer?

Please create a new profile, just for test, and don´t install themes or
extensions over there.

Run Firefox.exe -P or create a shortcut "Firefox -P" to start the
Profilemanager, you can create, select or delete Profiles from there, before
Firefox starts.
