User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

The natwest online banking site http://www.nwolb.com will intermittantly trigger
a reload of the current page. Sometimes this is after a minute or two, but
othertimes its happens after only a few seconds. This causes a logout.

This is not the usual timeout for the site, which is set at 5 minutes and only
triggers when a link is clicked. This bug will actually reload the page and take
you back to the login page.

This bug also occurs in Mozilla 1.7.1, though it wasn't affecting earlier
versions (I remember it working fine on previous versions of Mozilla).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Goto https://www.nwolb.com/secure/default.asp
2. Enter DOB 031282 and CustomerID 0046 (You don't need my PIN and Pass :-) )
3. Wait for a minutes or two without clicking on anything

Actual Results:
The page should refresh itself and take you back to the login screen

Expected Results:
The page should not refresh. After 5 minutes the site timeout will trigger, but
it will have any visable result until you click a link.
Won't let me log in, asks for more info.

I've tested that the bug affects the screen after you enter DOB and Customer #
(wait a minute or two and it should take you back to the begining of the login
procedure). You shouldn't need to complete the login to trigger the bug.

To fully login (which shouldn't be needed) you need an account with Natwest UK,
and for obvious reasons I can't put out my account pin and password.

I've tested that the bug doesn't affect the linux version (firefox v1.0 on gentoo).
I have sent the following email to Feedback@natwest.com and webmaster@nwolb.com

Subject: bug - firefox / mozilla - nwolb.com - Natwest bank site triggers an
intermittant reload of page, causing a logout (before the usual timeout)

As a regular user of your online banking services, I would like to report a bug
in your website that affects my prefered broswer, the increasingly popular,
mozilla firefox v1.0. This bug makes it very difficult to effectivly use your
online banking.

1. Goto https://www.nwolb.com/secure/default.asp in firefox v1.0
2. Login to account
3. Wait for a minutes or two without clicking on anything

Actual Results:
The page should refresh itself and take you back to the login screen

Expected Results:
The page should not refresh. After 5 minutes the site timeout will trigger, but
it will have any visable result until you click a link.

I have additionally reported the bug to
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270655
but it has been suggested that it is an issue with your code rather than a bug
in the browser itself.
