27091 - [Beta1] Frozen when entering 2nd recipient in addressing field

Linux (2000-02-08-09 M14)
Steps:
1.  Launch Messenger using the -mail option
2.  Compose a message and enter 2 receipients in the addressing field
3.  After the second receipient email id is entered, press Enter

Actual result: Messenger got hung up. Need to kill the process

Expected result: Should not freeze and should allow me to enter more than one
receipient id.  

This problem does not happen when I enter only one email id.

Will test Win and Mac

Does not happen on Win, but does happen on Mac for the 20000209 m14 late builds.
may be related to bug 26618.
