User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 In Mozilla 1.x, Netscape 6 & 7 and Thunderbird Mail Client, the "Print" icon on the toolbar offers a pulldown option of "Print" or "Print Preview". Firefox's Print icon [toolbar button] only offers the "Print" option. Print Preview is only accessible through the "File//Print Preview" selection process. This seems to be a step back for Firefox since all Mozilla products in recent memory offer this toolbar option. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on Toolbar Icon for "Print" 2.Standard Windows print dialog appears 3. Actual Results: Only "print" option is available from toolbar. Expected Results: Pulldown choice from toolbar icon for "Print" to either "Print" or "Print Preview"

I would quite like this too, as the print-preview functionality feels noticeably absent from Firefox's toolbar. Personally though, I would much prefer to have two buttons - the current one for printing, plus a separate new print-preview button located next to it. (e.g. See Microsoft Word for an example of this done well). This seems simpler, and feels easier to use.

Include extension "Print IT 0.3.6" by Kristof Polleunis as part of the build as an alternative to modifying the functionality of the "print" toolbar button rather than rewriting that module.

Printing webpages is a task notoriously prone to delivering wrong results (i.e. "does the layout fit to the paper size?", ...). Taking a look at the print preview is therefore the normal workflow, and having to navigate through the "File" menu is somewhat a usability issue.
