The german installation file is "Firefox Setup 1.0.exe", which is not very
differen for the english one. It could be "Firefox Setup 1.0 de.exe" or so to

Changing summary, QA and reassigning.

Meiner Meinung nach WONTFIX. Die meisten meiner Dateien im Programme-Ordner
haben auch kein "de" Kürzel.

Summary: Differen filenames for EN and DE Installationfiles → [firefox] Different filenames for EN and DE Installationfiles
We do not have any influence on the filenames. The Mozilla Localization Project
(MLP)suggested filenames that did include language, platform etc., but they were
declined by the people in charge. (see bug 257117 for that)
I personally am not really happy with the current situation either, but we (the
German Firefox Team) cannot change this.
The only possibility would be to start a new (general) discussion to change the
filenames once again for _all_ locales, including en-US.

Doing so:

As in Firefox 1.0RC1, the filenames of releases should also include the language
and locale code to make them distinguisable on the user's hard drive.
Right now, a user who downloaded Firefox 1.0 and stubles upon the file later
does not know if he/she picked the right language.
The fact that the language code is included in the ftp-path is not an argument
here, because users generally never see the full path as they download the file
from pages that link to it directely.
