Does NOT work for me either, was prompted for WMP 9 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050422 Firefox/1.0+ WinXP SP2 WMP 10
I have a feeling that this is caused by bad plugin detection by the site and has nothing to do with the plug-in service. If someone feels like checking the detection code you can view all the gory details at http://www.mtv.com/global/apps/mediaplayer/scripts/wmp_detect.js Also, the Daily Show site works fine for me. http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/resources/wmp9.reg I can't find any videos on that site to see what you're talking about, but have you applied the registry file linked above that is posted throughout Mozilla. It should get installed with Firefox installer but some users have complained that it doesn't. Also have you gone through the sticky under Firefox Support forums. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206213

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
